A Call!

That Workplace Bullying constitutes a gigantic social problem has been made clear. As well as how huge the amount of victims is and the ‘collateral damage’ caused by arduous collaboration and thus suboptimal output, plus the extra costs of sick-leave. Of course, efforts for improvements have been made over the past years, the majority of which however have been internal adjustments. These can never be really safe though, as they are internal and therefore never really objective. Often actually it concerns rather ‘cosmetic adjustments’, a means of “reassurance” to the outside world, “look at all that we are doing about it”.

For the victim however everything only really changes when (s)he calls upon external help! It immediately creates the crucial distance from the aggressors and provides a far broader perspective. Whether it concerns juridical help, psychological help or spiritual help, the objectivity and safety are what matter most!

The Target

These blogs so far, are being very well read! It thus seems that there is an important need for solutions and support! Which is not strange of course, judged from the scope and the severity of the problem.

Hopefully these blogs do reach many of those suffering most from it, that is to say the victims of Workplace Bullying. As mentioned in earlier blogs, it is extremely difficult to come out with the fact that you are being bullied and report on behaviour of colleagues. It is even far more difficult to stand up, draw the line and take action, for instance by filing a complaint. It is exactly with this that I am more than happy and able to coach and give support.

To those hesitating : What would you prefer the most? Coaching? Finding yourself (again), becoming more powerful and offer better resistance; to stand up for yourself and understand, solve and come to terms with everything.          

Or would you rather have a Digital Discussion Possibility, such as a Forum? In order to get connected.

Or would you prefer (Physical) Gatherings?  

That would offer the possibility to exchange experiences! Mutual recognition and understanding already offer so much support! But knowledge about the causes as well as the physical, psychological, social and other impact of Workplace Bullying will also greatly help you. Insight as to the patterns and strategies of Workplace Bullying will assist you in persevering, keep or take back control and pull through. By talking to others, with similar experiences, you gain a better grip on the situation and can make more insightful considerations. Hopefully to boost your self-confidence and make you more powerful and move you towards standing up for yourself. And, last but not least, it will help you with digesting and recovering.

Protecting yourself is absolutely crucial but do not let it prevent you from getting support, exactly with how best to protect yourself! Don’t try to do it alone! It is too big, too complex!

Employers

The statistics on the blogs show that there are many company strategists, company owners/directors and the like among the readership. This likely means that there is a big need for solutions for companies and organisations as well, having to contend with Workplace Bullying and all its harmful effects on their work floor.

For them the same question! What is needed most urgently?

A Training for companies/organisations? Generic?

Or indeed Tailormade, ‘Individual’ Advice per company or organisation? Based on meticulous research and analysis of the specific situation? As there are probably as many different situations as there are Workplace Bullying cases, different characters of victims and bullies, different organisation cultures, different leadership styles etc. With over 10 years of experience, I have (unfortunately) seen the whole process from A completely to Z but simultaneously investigated and analysed it thoroughly. And have thus seen, and experienced, all the dynamics at play but also survived and overcome them. With all this experience, knowledge and insight; I advise and counsel wholeheartedly and convincingly.

This while ensuring anonymity, as safety is most crucial, for everyone.
